On-line car removal enforcement

Overview

mTowTruck is a complete solution for managing a removal process of illegal parked cars.
Introduction of the system simplifies the complete process from the violation notification, through violation verification and removal order to unloading the vehicle in the car pound and payment of the Removal penalty. Simplification of the process dramatically increases the productivity of the Car removal enforcement. The result is a significant increase in the number of car removals (up to two times).

Features

• Using an on-line technology (UMTS/HSDPA) to make removal and clamping much more effective and raise the efficiency of car removal service
• Tow truck equipped with a Vehicle Mounted Computer & Digital Camera or Pocket PC with an integrated camera
• Tow truck patrols without a police officer being present
• When an irregularly parked vehicle is noticed, a parking officer takes digital pictures showing the vehicle, its position and any pre-existing damage to the vehicle
• Images and removal requests from all trucks are sent to a single police officer at the Car Pound
• After downloading data, the police officer manages the situation, identifies which law has been breached and authorizes the removal of the vehicle

Removal Process

• Tow truck operator identifies an offender (an irregularly parked car), takes pictures of irregularly parked car, sends pictures and fills out a Removal request to the police officer at the car pound
• Police officer receives and checks all Removal requests from the Tow trucks operating on the field and decides whether there is legal basis to authorize the removal
• Tow truck operator receives an on-line authorization from the police officer and starts a removal procedure
• Car Pound registers entrance of the removed car
• Tow truck operator unloads the removed car to the Car Pound deposit space
• Car pound officer collects a Removal penalty charge from the driver and issues all necessary documentation
