Car park mobile phone payment system

Overview

mGarage (sms&exit) is an advanced mobile phone payment system for car park users that offers drivers the ability to pay the car park ticket in a more convenient way (remotely, without walking to the parking machine or cashier and with no need for change). Like other Mobile payment solutions by Infoart Group (mParking, mTram) it uses all the real advantages of mobile payment to make the process of parking much easier for the driver as well as for the Car park operator.

Main Features

NO REGISTRATION – any mobile phone can be used, the user does not have to pre-register

NO SPECIAL ACCOUNT NEEDED – payment is made from the mobile phone account (prepaid / postpaid)

EASE OF USE – before leaving the Car Park, user simply sends an SMS with the serial number of the parking ticket to mGarage number “nnnn”

TEXT RECEIPT – the mGarage centre sends user an SMS receipt with a unique serial number as the proof of payment and the driver can exit the car park

NO SPECIAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED – payment is made with a standard mobile phone

NO CHANGES TO EXISTING EQUIPMENT – the system is totally independent of existing car park equipment and requires no special equipment or infrastructure.

Payment process

• When entering the Car Park, the user gets a parking ticket with a unique serial number
• Before leaving the Car Park, the user sends an SMS with the serial number of the parking ticket to mGarage number “nnnn”
• mGarage center sends an SMS to the user – “confirmation” of payment
• After receiving the confirmation, the user has 15 minutes to leave the Car Park
• In order to exit the Car Park, the user puts parking ticket into exiting park-machine
• The exiting park-machine, which has already received payment confirmation from mGarage system, opens the barrier
• If the user doesn’t exit the Car Park within 15 minutes, mGarage system sends another SMS with information about expiration of exiting time
